Objective: The goal of the project is to support increased democratic accountability and transparency of internal security sector institutions through monitoring, public awareness raising and advocacy of further reforms.

Tasks: 

• To support improvement of the democratic oversight of the internal security sector through monitoring and engagement with the parliament/government of Georgia
• To develop comprehensive reform framework of the internal security institutions with particular emphasis on the State Security Service of Georgia
• To increase public awareness about the functioning of state security institutions for increased accountability and transparency

Project budget: 78,690.00 $

Rallies Under Observation

Project title: “Rallies Under Observation”

Duration: November 1, 2023 –  June 31, 2024

Objective: To achieve the realization of the right to peaceful assemblies and freedom of expression.

Tasks: Check the compliance of the protection of the requirements of legislation by the organizers and participants of the rallies of political content; make analysis and legal evaluation of the violations detected during the rallies; check the compliance of actions of law enforcement officers with international standards; provide objective and impartial information to the public about the offenses identified during rallies and counter-rallies; make recommendations to the stakeholders on the basis of the findings of the three-month monitoring process.

Project budget: 21,185.00 $

Objective: To support raising awareness about the developments in the occupied regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia

Tasks: To support the creation of public discussion spaces on the recent developments in Abkhazia and Tskhinvali Region/South Ossetia

Objective: To strengthen oversight and accountability of the security sector through monitoring and advocacy by the Defense and Security Committee and the Trust Group of the Parliament of Georgia.

Tasks: Monitoring the mechanisms of supervision of the State Security Service by the Defense and Security Committee of the Parliament of Georgia.

Budget: 14,000 €

The rise of the anti-gender movement in Eastern Georgia - threats and challenges

Project title: "The rise of the anti-gender movement in Eastern Georgia - threats and challenges"

Duration: December 1, 2023 - June 30, 2024

Objective: The purpose of the project is to analyze the anti-feminist discourse of the far-right groups in Georgia and to raise public awareness of the dangers arising from them.

Tasks: Monitoring the mechanisms of supervision of the State Security Service by the Defense and Security Committee of the Parliament of Georgia.

Budget: 15,000.00 $

The financial supporter of the project is the Women's Fund in Georgia.

Human Rights Monitoring

Project title: "Human rights monitoring"

Duration: September 1, 2023 - August 31, 2024

Objective: Support for the protection of human rights in Abkhazia and South Ossetia

Tasks: Monitoring the human rights situation in Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Support for the protection of the rights of people affected by the conflict living near the administrative border 

Project budget: 91,900.00 €

Project title: Partnership for improving human security and combating intolerance

Duration: 7 March 2024 – 6 March, 2025

Objective: Capacity of professionals from conflict-divided societies in the field of human rights, hate speech and hate crimes improved and trust increased through joint efforts for the promotion of the concept of human security, tolerance and justice for minors.

Tasks: Capacity of CSO representatives, journalists, legal professionals, psychologists, social workers from conflict-divided societies in the field of human rights, hate speech and hate crimes improved and trust increased through joint efforts for the promotion of the concept of human security, tolerance and justice for minors.

Project budget: 119,610.00 $
