On June 24, the Democracy Research Institute held the presentation of the “Understanding and Combating Far-Right Extremism and Ultra-Nationalism in Georgia” report.
The presenters spoke about the main characteristics of far-right discourse in Georgian social media, monitoring of street rallies and demonstrations of far-right groups, the ideology of far-right groups in Georgia and examples of Western European countries.
The meeting was opened by Mrs Loes Lammerts, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of the Netherlands and by Ucha Nanuashvili, Director of DRI.

The agreement
“On the Deepening of Allied Cooperation”, signed in the Kremlin on 9 May between Vladimir Putin and the de facto leader of South Ossetia, Alan Gagloev,
