The Democracy Research Institute responds to the trials of administrative detainees during the demonstration near the Parliament of Georgia on November 18, 2019, and considers that detainees  right to a fair trial was violated.

On July 25, 2019, DRI representatives observed the demonstration organized by the members of the far-right movement in front of the State Chancellery building. The territorial dispute between Georgia and Azerbaijan concerning Davit Gareji region was named as the reason for the demonstration.

On May 17, 2019, DRI team members observed the demonstration in front of the Chancellery of the Government of Georgia. The demonstration was attended by the representatives of far-right groups.

Non-governmental organizations respond to the arrest of Zaza Saralidze and believe that his actions were provoked by persistent and gross violations of human rights by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
