On October 23, the Democracy Research Institute held a presentation of the study - Mandate of the Operational-Technical Agency in Conducting Covert Investigative Activities - Risks and Challenges.
The aim of the study is to evaluate the powers of the Operational-Technical Agency operating under the State Security Service of Georgia and the mechanisms supervising/controlling it and to identify shortcomings and problematic issues. The study also aims to develop specific recommendations based on international practices and to facilitate their further implementation.
