Physical and Digital Security Training
On July 22-24 and July 27-29, the Democracy Research Institute conducted Physical and Digital Security Training for civil society activists and youth from conflict-affected regions.

The training was held with the support of the European Endowment for Democracy and was aimed at strengthening the security capacity of civil society activists. Training participants together with the invited experts discussed issues related to the civil activists’ security, such as digital security, physical and psychological pressure on human rights defenders.

The main focus was on understanding and assessing threats, preventing and reacting to attacks, preparing a security strategy and plan, assessing security performance of the organization, improving security at work and home, security in the areas of armed conflict, etc.
