The case “Tsibakhashvili and Others” has been registered at the European Court of Human Rights

New Cases Submitted by the Democracy Research Institute Registered at the European Court of Human Rights have been registered.

By letter dated 11 March, it became known that the case “Tsibakhashvili and Others v. Georgia” has been officially registered at the European Court of Human Rights.

The case concerns several members of one family who were detained on 3 November 2025 on the grounds of blocking a road and were subjected to administrative detention. The applicants allege violations of several fundamental rights protected under the European Convention on Human Rights, including:

Article 5 — Right to liberty and security
Article 6 — Right to a fair trial
Article 11 — Freedom of assembly and association
Article 18 — Limitation on use of restrictions of rights

The merits of the case and the Court’s position will be communicated at a later stage.
