Temporary detention facilities are not intended for long-term detention. 

On 31 August 2026, by a decision of a Vladikavkaz court, Abkhaz journalist Nizfa Arshba was fined 30,000 roubles, approximately 353 US dollars. 

September can be regarded as a month of expanding Russian influence in occupied South Ossetia and Abkhazia. 

The Law on Grants is not a standalone regulation. It forms part of a layered legislative framework developed since 2023 that also includes the Law on Transparency of Foreign Influence.
